I think it had longevity because FTP clients such as Cyberduck expanded their features to enable browsing of cloud storage (AWS S3, Google Drive, etc) whilst retaining simplicity.Ĭyberduck is pretty user friendly and there should be a fair amount of support out there (plus their own documentation is good: ). It used to be way more common a few years ago but I see it less these days in data workflows but still wouldn't surprise me if I learned a (large) company still had a server running somewhere. Maybe try CyberDuck or just use the Dropbox app like you're supposed to. Most likely this is because a year or so ago Dropbox removed their long life tokens so the Dropbox token only lasts 4 hours and Transmit never updated to support the refresh token process that would allow this to work without re-auth every 4 hours. That's a transmit question, not a Dropbox one. You could try Cyberduck, I use it as a replacement for the Google Drive and Dropbox clients, it works with OneDrive as well. Why are there so many background permissions for one drive? Why are they unidentified? Anyone else like this? Im concerned about viruses
